Biography

Kurt Hoyer, M.A.​

Kurt Hoyer earned his masters in Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern History in 2024 from Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He also taught Bible and history courses at secondary school and endeavors to bring his experience and love for the topic into the classroom in a clear and interesting way.
 
He has excavated at many sites in Israel including, Hazor, Lachish, Abel beth Macaach, Shiloh, Jerusalem, Tel Beit Mirsim, and Khirbet Qeiyafah. He has explored the lands of the Bible, both Old and New Testament, including Cyprus, Jordan, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Israel. 
 
Research Interests: Assyrian period, primarily hegemony with a focus on roads. 
 
Languages: French, Greek.
 
Kurt is married to his wife, Jennifer, and they have three sons.
